James Webb Space Telescope (JWST)
Добавлен 12 ноя 2009
The James Webb Space Telescope is the successor to Hubble. It is an infrared telescope with a 6.5m mirror and a sunshade the size of a tennis court! Webb launched on December 25, 2021, and its first images and data were released on July 12, 2022.
A Tour of the Serpens Nebula
This video tours the Serpens Nebula, a star-forming region that lies 1,300 light-years away from Earth.
A new image of Serpens from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope shows an intriguing group of aligned protostellar outflows within one region of the nebula. Protostellar outflows are formed when jets of gas spewing from newborn stars collide with nearby gas and dust at high speeds.
This region is also home to several captivating features-the flapping shadow of a planet-forming disk, nicknamed the “Bat Shadow,” areas of varying density that appear as crevices, and a special binary protostar.

A team of astronomers has used NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to survey the starburst galaxy Messier 82 (M82). Located 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major, this galaxy is relatively compact in size but hosts a frenzy of star formation activity. For comparison, M82 is sprouting new stars 10 times faster than the Milky Way galaxy. Using Webb to Inspect the activity in g...

Webb Captures New Views Of Star-Forming Region
Просмотров 73 тыс.3 месяца назад
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has taken two new images of the star-forming region NGC 604, located in the Triangulum galaxy, 2.7 million light-years away from Earth. Sheltered among these dusty envelopes of gas are more than 200 of the hottest, most massive kinds of stars, all in the early stages of their lives. The largest of these stars can have more than 100 times the mass of our own Sun...

In July 2022, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope observed El Gordo, a galaxy cluster that existed 6.2 billion years after the big bang. It was selected as the most massive galaxy cluster known at that time in cosmic history. The resulting image reveals a variety of gravitationally lensed galaxies, including striking objects nicknamed the Fishhook and the Thin One. Come with us on a video tour of...

Hmm…16 trillion miles by 11 trillion miles. OK…got it!…not. I think light years or even astronomical units would be easier to fathom. (approx. 172,000 by 118,300 AU or 2.72 by 1.87 LY if I got the math right.)
Stunning visulization.

Cool show..
To short. More info.
facinating and wonderful.
Thanks for sharing. Fantastic!
I like this topic. I feel like we can be excited about spending time looking for intelligent life on other planets. I say this with the utmost respect and I hope that one day we will be proven right.
To me 0:05 looks like the middle pillar is a person shaking the paw of a dog (the right pillar) standing on its hind legs, while someone standing behind them (the left pillar) is flipping them off with one hand and giving a thumbs up with the other hand. Breathtaking.
Two videos in one day! Nice!😁😁😁
Wow!
Every picture provides insight in insight, along with new desktop screen savers 😂
So good
Cool. For context, you should give this channel's viewers a look at the raw JWST infra-red images that were used to build the model shown here. ty.
Stunning. I grew up with encyclopaedia and I remember seeing this back in the 90’s… the sky is so vast, isn’t it?
I'm old enough to remember when the original Hubble images were released and everyone was in awe.
I remember seeing this on magazine covers when it first released and it was amazing
👏👏👏
Man the only reason I would want to live forever to see our progress to the cosmos
Amazing visualisation! Thank you to whomever put this together.
Please more of such spectacular images. Thank you!
🥲
Worth every effort, for results like this. Well done, all!
When are you going to point it at the great Attractor 🤔
0:31 TBF - when does the JWST at this point not make a ground breaking discovery.
Just WOW ! Suggestion: a version with a scale that adapts to zooming in/out.
Cool
Astonishing.
Stunning.
amazing
I once read that those whisps on the edges are about as big as our solar system
anyone know the best channels apart from this one for james webb updates? literally 90% are all clickbait bullshit, im trying to find to find the legit ones, not the ones with "is this god" or "james webb finds artificial lights on proxima b" its hard to filter through the bullshit there is so many of them
Your best bet is to skip RUclips and go to websites dedicated to this kind of stuff. No fluff - just tons of archived and updated material. Best wishes from Vermont 🍁
Why do we exist 🤔
Yeah, and how did I become, with the ability to experience that I've become, when there's seemingly nothing to refer me to me, prior me.
@@UlyssesDrax yeah
Because we do.
Because of the laws of physics that came into existence a trillionth of a second after the Big Bang. From that moment your existence was inevitable.
@@2l84t there is too much gray area on your question, you should be more specific. But mostly your consciousness exist because your parents had sex and you haven't died yet. If you are asking for purpose, to be alive for as long as you can fight against entropy. But as all living beings, we fight entropy but ultimately we end up helping it since we consume things low on entropy. If you want meaning, there is only the one you give it. Why do you experience things? that's a side effect of having a complex brain.
They look like howling rats :D

When do we get more informations about our Milky Way galaxy? Thanks
Watch the video, the nebula is situated within our galaxy.
Everything was Created by and through Jesus Christ - for His Glory Colossians 1 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Read different books
🤣
Trolling for Jesus - what a pathetic and repulsive fetish. 🙄
“The Bible shows the way to go to heaven, not the way the heavens go.”
@@jatin7361 The Bible tells everyone to repent and submit to The Creator - Jesus Christ - He is GOD and He is The ONLY ONE who can change a person from a lover of filth and sin to a lover and worshiper of GOD. John 8:36 - “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Extremely beautiful made my eyes water!
Very جميل😊🥰🤣
Wow, science is so amazing!
This is only about diversity ughhh

Can't we use ice giants as space lenses through superposition? With this we could create an observation chain over the entire universe. Think about it...
I want to traverse the universe......
This was very useful for me as a newbie to beryllium.
SubhanAllah, can't even fathom the sheer immensity of it all. What a wonderful era to be in to witness such spectacles.
That looks more like a man walking with people beneath him than a horse head.
Yeah! NASA has been "exploring space" for many decades, ever since we brought those NAZI scientists over here in operation paperclip...🤔
